Strengthening the Lao Civil Service

Advised Lao PDR on strengthening its civil service, including formulating the strategic development plan and curriculum for the Public Administration Research and Training Institute, the development of management and leadership courses and coaching to local trainers. Also, supported the drafting of the civil servant law and provided advice on civil servant management, development and performance; workforce planning and job description; local planning, budgeting and financial management; mainstreaming gender/mother and children into institutional and human resource processes; and the implications of Asian Economic Community for the Lao civil service.
